  1. Great smile Mickey. Is that a Lavender colored shirt you’re wearing? I have 3-4 Lavender shirts. Great color.

So, what were the high points and low points of the evening?

  2. Thanks, Joe. Yes, the shirt is lavender. I “stole” it from my Dad last time I was in Texas.

Too many high points to list but it was great to tell the crowd about my mom. Also, afterwards, one woman told us that she’d decided to go vegan thanks to the material we presented.

Low points? Mostly that, in some ways, we were preaching to the somewhat converted.

  3. Talk of preaching and the captcha is “church”, not that kind of preaching!

The people in the know still need reassurance that they’re not the wierd ones. And people in the know still learn new things all the time. Strengthening what we’ve got, rather than expanding the base. Both are important.

  4. I’ve been up and about since 1am and thus far, the knee slapper of the day is, ‘there must be trust built with the u.s.’

To me, that’s as silly as pissing up a cliff.

  5. Thanks, Rick and Joe.

A new post is now up. See you there.

  6. I have discovered, in my time away from Cool Observer, Hp 17 1181Nr 17 a wonderful wonderful thing...LibraryThing.  It’s a Epson Workforce Gt website where biblioholics Epson Stylus Nx420 like me can catalog our books with bibliographical data from the Library of Congress, the New 7 Mini Netbook Canadian National Catalogue, amazon.com, etc etc, all by entering one’s choice of datum.  It’s so much neat receipts easier than the Excel spreadsheet I was trying to put the card-catalog system I had before into...enter an ISBN or an LC number and >poof< the whole job’s done for you!  This is when I love technology.  I recommend it heartily.  Look at it, at least, ad see if it doesn’t appeal:
