Sink or swim?
-
Sinking and swimming are related with water. In fact i’m afraid of water because i have been drowned at my little age. But i really want to learn how to swing , i like the feeling to be sorounded by water. Maybe i have a shadow in my heart. I must overwhelm it and be a good swimmer.

Good morning everyone. I’m a terrible swimmer. When I go kayaking, I wear a life vest and take a handful of cigars in a watertight container. I don’t go in ‘challenging’ waters..., don’t need that kind of excitement.
Kayaking is being able to see things that would otherwise not be seen..., to be with other creatures, silently among them, floating with the ducks, the gulls, cormorants at almost eye level, still in the water..., at one with the kayak and cigar… ;<)

Congratulations on the article, MZ. I like the rip currents advice and will try to apply it to living in the US.
I concur, joe. I’m a terrible swimmer as well, but love being by the water. At a local lake at dusk, I surprised a barred owl. I’d never seen one close up in the wild, but even flapping its wings it was silent. Pretty amazing.

Thanks, Joe and Zen and the spambot who left the first comment. As the kids say: LOL

I know the swimming piece is hardly the most provocative subject matter but I’ll have a new post up live by tonight or early tomorrow.
