Changing the climate…of denial

Posted by Mickey Z on 08/05 at 04:19 AM
  1. Hi all…

    Nice to see Joe-the-poet there.

About the denial - it is increasing all around us. The talk about the economy and the need for more jobs is an issue. No one I hear seems to be talking about ‘green’ jobs - just jobs to manufacture more redundant stuff...and then the zoning fights to find land fill sites to dispose of the ‘stuff’.

  2. Hello RMJ..., america is a disaster from A to Z, yet the wealthy keep making more no matter and they have the protection. The clueless want to be like the wealthy people..., it’s a human tragedy.

  3. Denial is a way of life here...and breaking that cycle usually requires a disaster. “Rehab? Rehab, party of 300 million? Your tar pit is ready.”

Nice take on the economic sitch: http://tinyurl.com/3rca2n8

Paint the Walls Dept: “Cave of Forgotten Dreams” was very interesting, but the director was in the way - clumsy shots/structure & poorly-cut narration. But the cave paintings and context were remarkable. Best news: Jesus did not visit the cave.

  4. Haven’t been to a Hollywood movie in a long, long time but saw “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” yesterday. It definitely could’ve been 30 minutes shorter but there’s a 10-minute (or so) scene that is worth the price of admission and had me weeping tears of joy in the theater. The newly escaped lab primates not only out-smart the heavily-armed cops, they deliver a major beatdown.

  5. Hi Mickey, Zen, Joe, and all…

Yesterday I participated in a ‘peace’ demonstration. I know that it is not effective but sometimes I have interesting conversations at events like that. Yesterday’s talk was with someone who believes in peace but always votes with the democrats… how can that be explained????  How can so many intelligent people be so misinformed???  It is like stupidity is a great national pastime to be celebrated. Thanks for letting me vent as I remember the dropping of the first A-bombs on Japan civilians.

Something funny did happen at the demonstration. As a large group of men on their Harley’s came riding by, one of them noticed my sign which says: “STOP US WAR CRIMES”.  He took a double take, looked at me, and mouthed the word “Asshole”. Well that was not as bad as the time an egg was thrown at me.

  6. RMj..I watched a peace fair from away yesterday. It was held in a park in downtown Brunswick.

It was more like a funeral with disinterested people. They never define peace...what is peace, the lack of wars, peaceful neighborhoods, peace among family members. How can there be peace when the collective mindset is what enables war. So peace becomes a word, a chant and the peace people continue their shunning of others, their discrimination, their lying and this is suppose to be peaceful.

Well the world is getting a taste off israeli citizens disagreeing with the Tel Aviv degenerates...when will americans voice their outrage or will chanting peace simply be an escape from their personal, inner decay.

Saw 5 Monarch caterpillars today eating milkweed. Yesterday a Fox was rolling around in some freshly tilled garden soil. It had no fear of 3 people watching him from a very close distance.

  7. The riots go on everywhere except in the US. They’ll happen here but only after the big economic collapse and then they will pit victim vs. victim.

On that note, I’m gonna put up a new post very soon. See you all there.

  8. The environment problem has been a global crisis and the direct comport is reflected by the climite. And with the climite becoming more and more warmming, there are so many living things that can’t tolerate the climite and lead to die out. This must be a pity. And we all should pay more attention on this significant problem. Thanks for your sharing.
